Wanted: Haunted Ideas

On the hunt for creative ideas to "haunt" our hall! Please post any and all suggestions, so we can make this Halloween the spookiest of all.... :)

Check out this link. It focuses on simple, compound, and complex sentences. Remember, for tomorrow's test, you only have to worry about simple and compound sentences, not complex. You'll also be asked to identify simple and compound subjects and verbs. I expect you all to do very well on this if you have paid attention in class. :)

Test tomorrow

Don't forget our test tomorrow!! Please remember to study. You can expect to see sentences where you must identify prepositional phrases, objects of prep phrases, and distinguish between adjective and adverb phrases. Remember, if you have a pronoun as the object of a prep phrase, you must use the objective case.

Objective pronouns:

Me
Him
Her
Us
Them
Whom
You
It

Adjective phrases modify nouns and pronouns
Adverb phrases modify verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs

Questions answered:

Adverb- When? Where? How?
Adjective- which one? What kind? How many?

At the end of the day this is but one test of many; therefore, don't stress please. :)

Now class, let's be silent,
Oh, and my first class rule.. never be violent.

And also.... No walking, talking,
cheating, or eating!

Hands to yourself,
And you stay off my personal shelf!

Do NOT let your mouth leak,
Raise your hand before you speak.

No laughing or fun,
or you will be DONE!

If you break one of my rules,
I will dump you in the swimming pools!

Now just remember these simple rules and we
might have a tiny bit of fun,
And one more thing your work is finished
not done.

I'm sitting here eating my dinner.
Knowing that I'm a sinner.
Everybody sins
Don't feel light as
a pin.
Ask for forgiveness
and God will forgive.
Live everyday like there's no
Tomorrow
Even though you have sorrow.

Teachers are nice
and teachers are mean
but when they get mad
They'll blow off their steam.

Summer is an awesome season
with warm weather and no school.
We get to hang out with our friends
and go to the beach and the pool.
